Hervey Bay Esplanade Masterplan

Project Overview

Council is progressing a Masterplan for the Hervey Bay Esplanade. The Master Plan will set out a 20-year vision for the length of the Esplanade from Point Vernon to Urangan, covering from Highest Astronomical Tide to private property boundaries landward of the Esplanade road reserve.

The project will build on the outcomes of the previous Hervey Bay Esplanade (Pt Vernon to Dayman Park, Urangan) deliberative democracy project that was conducted by Council in 2019.The master plan will progress the identified community vision, themes, values and priorities. This will include possible embellishments and core infrastructure that can be expected for managing growth and diversity in usage, whilst preserving the Esplanade’s unique character and identity.

The draft masterplan has been noted by Council as a guiding document for more detailed designs for each section of the Esplanade to be progressed.
