About Eb (Leon) Lindley
Mr 'Eb' Leon Lindley lived in the Maryborough region from the 1950’s until his passing at age 78.
Eb was passionate about campdrafting and from the 1950's, until his passing in the late 1970's, was involved in campdrafting and events at the Fraser Coast Agricultural Show - as a participant and chief ring steward. Eb was also involved as a volunteer in getting the show ready each year and packing up and dismantling at the end of the show.
Eb's love for cattle and horses was also part of his working life as dairy farmer at Yengarie, property manager and drover.
Eb was also known as a skilled horseman and drafter across Central Queensland. He and his horse 'Teddy' travelled many kilometres together along local and regional stock routes.
Eb was also one of the founding members of the Maryborough Pony Club and one for their first instructors.
