September- October 2019
Council has been working with the Poona community for a number of months in relation to a Poona Community Infrastructure Plan. Council contracted Archipelago for the engagement and design of the community infrastructure plan in 2019. Council, with Archipelago, have also run two workshops with the community. The second workshop (29/2/20) also included a discussion around the Poona Boat Ramp Feasibility Study - this is a seperate project to the Poona Community Infrastructure Plan - however it will be considered as one of the projects that may be included in the final community infrastructure plan.
During September/October (2019) Archipeligo compiled analysis, mapping and issues, from many sources, into a Foundation Report to further guide the consultation. The Poona community have had the opportunity to participate in two workshops (25/10/19 and 29/2/20), with the most recent workshop having over 150 people in attendance. All of this information has now been compiled into the Draft Poona Community Infrastructure Plan which was endorsed by Council at its Meeting held on 26 August, 2020 to be put out for final comment by the Poona Community Progress Association Inc and wider Poona Community.
The Boat Ramp Feasibility Study has now been released by TMR and community members now have further opportunity to make submissions on the proposals. Submissions close on 31 March 2020. Please submit your enquiries and submissions by emailing:firstname.lastname@example.org - Please state 'Poona Boat Ramp' in the subject line. This feedback process is open to any feedback in relation to the report including - for example - those in favour, those not and anyone who has any further suggestions - Council encourages community members to submit all views and suggestions. (The report and appendices are located in the"Documents"section.)
