Burrum River Proposed Speed Change

From today, a 6-knot speed limit will apply to the Weir 1 section of the Burrum River.

Here’s why it matters:

• Safer waters for boaties.
• Protecting the drinking water catchment.
• Reducing noise and erosion from speeding vessels.

The new speed limit will help keep everyone safe while enjoying this wonderful, shared space at Weir 1. Speed limits apply to all watercraft, including personal watercraft (PWCs). Let’s do our part to respect the river.
