Fraser Coast Events

Council is developing guidelines to support our regional events strategy over the next two years, before developing a longer-term approach to meet the needs of our growing region.

We sought community feedback from the public, community groups, and businesses to ensure our current actions are prioritised and that we understand the appeal of events and the capabilities of the event industry in the region.

Engagement closed on Monday, 24 March 2025 at 9:00 am.

Our events position the Fraser Coast as an event-friendly destination, increasing our reputation and appeal through efficient and effective support of a vibrant, balanced calendar of events.

Events grow the local economy with a focus on a high return on investment in increased overnight visitation and visitor expenditure. They elevate liveability, contributing to community growth, social cohesion and positive lifestyle choices delivered through art, culture, education, entertainment, business, sport and recreational opportunities.

Information received from the surveys will contribute to guiding the direction for events on the Fraser Coast.
