Fraser Coast Events

Yes, the current strategy is still in effect, and is scheduled for review in the next year. The region, including demographics, has changed since the previous strategy development began more than five years ago, hence a need for an adjusted approach to events in our region.

Any new or additional events will be brought to the Faser Coast in consultation with Fraser Coast Tourism & Events, Fraser Coast Regional Council Development & Community Services, Fraser Coast Regional Council Cultural Services teams and selected representatives from the Fraser Coast businesses and events industry. It is important to us that our community and our industry has a say in our events, so we are seeking input to help us identify opportunities.

The existing strategy will be reviewed in the next year.

We will be considering many different types of events both public and private, each having different funding models.
