Hervey Bay Community Hub

Have you spotted the two piling rigs at work at the site of the Hervey Bay City Centre community hub near the intersection of Main Street and Torquay Road?

These mechanical giants are currently burrowing about 12 metres deep into the earth, crafting 215 piles to lay the groundwork for the new five-storey building.

More than three-quarters of this new development will be community space

It will feature:

• A larger library over two levels
• A new Council administration centre
• A Disaster Resilience Centre
• An outdoor public plaza
