Fraser Coast area has experience rapid growth over the past 5 years. This growth brings pressure to provide homes, jobs and services to meet the community’s long-term needs. To address this, Council is investigating two key areas in Hervey Bay: Nikenbah and Dundowran.

Council has launched a Land Use and Infrastructure Planning Investigation to create a coordinated vision for these areas. This includes developing a structure plan to guide how development will unfold, ensuring it is well-sequenced, serviced, and shaped.
