The play equipment that is in good condition and that will remain includes - the shade structures, climbing net and navigator twirler.
It is planned to replace the swing set, rockers, play panels and the early childhood small combo play unit and slide.
ESA Park is a culturally significant site that also features turtle friendly lighting to protect the small but established turtle rookery adjacent to the park. Turtles are attracted by light, so to avoid having baby turtles head towards the playground instead of the ocean, these specially designed lights shine a warm beam that is sheltered from the beach.
